Unusual plants for the garden

Welcome back to fall, what’s next on your plant list? Did you tour someone’s garden this summer or visited a garden center, nursery and spotted a new plant. Whether it’s a perennial, annual, biannual, the excitement of finding something new to grow. Scoping through your garden landscape to make room for yet another plant. The possibility of it turning into a new favorite. It’s what can bring an endless challenge to rearranging your landscape or simply adding the new plant to a pretty pot or planter.

Falls rhythm introducing a slower pace to the garden, or maybe it’s when you find yourself in full clean up mode this month’s speaker Todd Major will be sharing a presentation on unusual plants for the garden. As a former Director of Park and Tilford Gardens in North Vancouver, Todd has also been the manager of Parks Planning and Design for the City of Coquitlam and is the program Co-creator for the Horticulture Training Program at the University of British Columbia Botanical Garden. Todds extensive background in the Horticultural field is sure to be an informative talk and is one not to be missed.
